Some organisations use IT security tools that automatically open links from emails inside an isolated browser session, sometimes a browser-based virtual machine running on a remote server. This is meant to protect you from malicious links, but it has a side effect: that isolated session usually can't access your local files, which means features like drag-and-drop and the "Upload" file picker won't work in Veridox.
How to tell this is happening
Signs you're inside a sandboxed or remote browser session:
- The page loads, but you can't drag a file from your desktop onto the upload area
- Clicking Upload opens an empty file picker, or no file picker at all
- The browser address bar shows an unfamiliar prefix or proxy URL before veridox.ai
- The browser window has a banner saying something like "Secure Browser", "Isolated Session", or your IT provider's name
The fix
Open Veridox directly in your normal browser instead of clicking the link in the email:
UK customers: https://uk.veridox.ai
Canadian customers: https://ca.veridox.ai
You can bookmark the right URL so you don't need to use email links in the future. Once you're in your normal browser, drag-and-drop and file uploads will work as expected.
ℹ️ If your IT department also blocks the direct URL, ask them to add
*.veridox.aito your organisation's allow-list. They may also need to allow file uploads from the domain.
