Teams — creating, editing, assigning members

2 min. readlast update: 08.09.2026

Teams let you group members of your organisation — for example by department. The Teams tab in Settings is where you manage them. It's available to the organisation owner when team management is enabled for your organisation.

Create a team

Select Create Team and fill in:

  • Team Name (required)
  • Description (optional)
  • Team Manager (required) — chosen from members not already assigned elsewhere

Select Create to save.

The members table

Selecting a team shows its members. The table lists each person's Email, Name, Team, Org Role, Team Role, and when they Joined. There are two kinds of role:

  • Org Role — Organisation Owner, Member, or Unassigned.
  • Team Role — Manager or Member. Managers are marked with a crown. Every team must keep at least one manager.

You can move someone to a different team using the Team dropdown on their row.

Add and manage members

  • Add Members — search for people, optionally tick Grant manager access, then select Add.
  • Select several members (using the row checkboxes) to act on them together. A toolbar shows how many are selected, with actions to Promote to manager, Demote to member, Remove from team, or move them to another team. Use Clear selection when you're done.

If you can't demote someone, it's because a team can't be left without a manager — promote another member first.

Edit or delete a team

With a team selected, use Edit to change its details and Save Changes. Deleting a team unassigns its members rather than removing them from your organisation.
