Step 8: Team Management

2 min. readlast update: 05.19.2026

Teams let you group members of your organisation (e.g. Claims, Underwriting, Audit) and put one or more managers in charge of each one. Use them to organise your workforce.

Creating a team

  • Click the "Create Team" button in the top right.
  • Give your team a name, a description (optional), and set the team manager.

A team must always have at least one manager, if you need to remove a manager, ensure you set another manager first.

Adding members to a team

There several ways to add someone to a team.

From the team page, click add members, and from the drop down, select the unassigned team members you wish to add, and click "Add". You can add multiple members at once this way.

Alternitively, on the members list, select the "Team" drop down on the member you want to move, and set them to the new team.

You can also select multiple rows at once on the members view, then click "Move to:" to move lots of members at once.

Working with a single team

Pick a team from the filter and the team's header panel appears with three actions:

Action What it does
Add Members Search unassigned members and add one or many at once. Tick Grant manager access to add them as managers.
Edit  Rename the team or update its description.
Delete Removes the team. Its members become unassigned — they are not removed from the organisation.

The members table

All Teams / Unassigned view

The Team column is a dropdown on each row. Pick a different team (or Unassigned) and confirm the change in the dialog that appears.

Team-filtered view

The crown icon in the role column becomes a button:

  • Hollow crown → click to promote to manager
  • - Filled crown → click to demote to member

Teams must always have at least one manager, so demoting (or removing) the last manager is prevented.

Bulk actions

Tick the checkboxes on the rows you want to act on. A toolbar slides in above the table.

From All Teams / Unassigned

A Move to… dropdown lets you reassign every selected member to a chosen team — or unassign them in one go.

From a specific team

Button Button
Promote to manager Promotes every selected non-manager.
Demote to member Demotes every selected manager (blocked if it would leave the team manager-less).
Remove from team Removes the selected members from this team (also blocked if it would leave the team manager-less).
