Risk levels explained

Every analysed file is given a risk level — Veridox's assessment of how much attention it needs. It appears as a colour-coded badge in the Risk column on your dashboard and at the top of the file's analysis. The level is a summary; the reasons behind it are in the report's Summary of risk factors and Comprehensive analysis sections.

The levels

• High (red) — strong indicators that the document warrants close attention, such as signs of manipulation or serious inconsistencies.
• Medium (amber) — some concerns worth reviewing before you rely on the document.
• Low (green) — few or no concerns found.
• Informational (blue) — notable context Veridox wants to surface, rather than a risk judgement in itself.

There's no separate numeric score shown — the badge is the level.

While things are in progress

You may also see these instead of a risk level:

• Processing — the analysis is still running. A risk level appears once it finishes.
• Analysis Failed — Veridox couldn't complete the analysis for this file.
• Upload Failed — the file didn't finish uploading, so it wasn't analysed.

For failed files, try uploading again; if it keeps happening, check the file type and size (see Upload your first document) or contact support.

Changing a level

Veridox sets the level automatically, but you can adjust it — for example after reviewing a file yourself — and the change is recorded on the case. See Adjusting a risk score.
